Plasmon G-438 Optical Library

The Plasmon G-438 Optical Library (Optical Jukebox), a G-238 chassis with a single 200-slot expansion panel affixed to the right side as shown in the photo, is another library in the Enterprise-class of G-Series optical libraries, providing 4TB of storage when configured with 9.1GB Magneto-Optical drives, 13TB with 30GB Ultra Density Optical drives (UDO-1), and 26TB with 60GB Ultra Density Optical drives (UDO-2).

By incorporating the new 60GB UDO drive mechanism into their Enterprise-class libraries, Plasmon set the new standard in value by offering the highest capacity libraries in the industry at a greatly reduced total cost of ownership.

For high-volume data storage applications that require up to 26TB of storage capacity, with scalability up to 38TB, the Plasmon G-438 is the ONLY optical jukebox that will meet the demands for 24x7 data availability, while at the same time meeting data retention requirements for laws such as SEC 17a-4, NASD 3510 & 3520, Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, and the FDA, to name a few.
