The
Plasmon D-875 DVD Library (DVD Jukebox) was the entry
point into the Enterprise-class of D-Series DVD libraries,
providing up to 8.2TB of storage when configured with
4.7GB Multi-Function DVD drives and media flipper
that takes advantage of dual-sided DVD-R and DVD-RAM
media.
In 2006, Plasmon announced End-of-Life for the
entire family of DVD libraries, with End-of-Support
scheduled for 2011, at which time Plasmon may
or may not be able to provide replacement drives
or robotic parts for these libraries.
DISC
DVD libraries, offering capacities from 500GB to 6.3TB, are the direct replacement for Plasmon DVD libraries.
The DISC/NSM
7000 DVD Library is the direct replacement for the Plasmon D-875 DVD Library.
For higher-capacity libraries based on a 50GB optical platter, DISC offers a full line of Blu-ray Optical libraries with capacities that range from 5.2TB to 34.5TB in a single library.
